What Is Beard Wash?

Beard wash is a beard care product which is specially designed for cleansing your beard and removing the bad (dirt, grime, dead skin cells) without removing the good (natural oils).

Due to Beard Beasts Beard Wash, you now can wash your beard each day without depleting your beard hair and skin of its natural oils.

Beard Beasts Beard Wash will leave your beard feeling nourished and soft in contrast to typical soaps and shampoos that can damage hair follicles and make the skin dry and itchy.

Your facial hair will stay clean, healthy, and shiny using our Beard Wash, which is made with mild, natural ingredients.

By calming the skin and reducing inflammation and irritation, ingredients with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities, such as Aloe Vera Extract, can aid in the treatment of acne. Chamomile protects the skin while cleansing the beard. The best beard shampoo for all skin types, it's the best.

You simply wet your beard, lather up, cleanse your beard and wash it out.

Why Should You Wash Your Beard?

It's simple to think about your beard hair as you do your head hair, but the hair on your face is continually exposed to dirt, dead skin cells, and food particles.

Additionally, your face's skin has to be washed, thus failing to wash your beard might result in a number of skincare issues. Washing your beard is therefore an important aspect of your daily hygiene and beard grooming regimen and goes beyond simply removing product buildup.

The majority of bearded men mistakenly think that their facial hair matches the type of hair on their head, however this is untrue.

Additionally, frequent exposure to dirt, grime, and dead skin cells

Additionally, the skin on your face is more delicate than the skin on your scalp and requires regular cleaning; as a result, if you don't wash your beard and the skin underneath it, you'll be more prone to get skin irritations and beard rashes.

I think we can all agree how important it is to wash our beards for basic hygiene reasons.

How Often Should I Wash My Beard?

Most of us know that our head hair should be shampooed twice a week, even more if we build up a sweat in the gym.

Your facial hair however, should be washed every morning or evening. If you are someone who eats greasy food or goes to the gym and builds up a sweat, then you should certainly wash your beard daily.

It is important to remove sweat, grease and food particles from your facial hair, as this can lead to bacteria build-up which can cause a various of skin and beard problems.

What Should I Do After I Wash My Beard?

Once you have washed your beard, simply pat it dry gently using a towel until your beard is slightly damp.

Then apply either your favourite beard oil or beard balm.

Beard oil is best for short beard styles.

Balm is best if you have a long beard, or a curly, coarse, or dry beard.

Which ever product you use, massage it into your beard, making sure you apply some the skin underneath your beard. Then use a beard comb or brush to evenly distribute the product evenly throughout your beard.

What Is Beard Conditioner And Should I Use It?

Beard conditioner is basically just like a conditioner you would use for your head hair but designed for beards.

If you want something simple, then Beard Beasts Classic Beard Balm is the perfect leave-in beard conditioner.

The all-natural oils and butters we use in our product provides excellent conditioning benefits that will soften and provide great sources of moisture to your facial hair.

Can You Use Hair Shampoo Or Bar Soap On Your Beard?

If you really want to use them then you can, however we don't recommend it.

Of course, head hair shampoo and soap will clean your facial hair, but they will also cause a lot of damage to your man mane.

Both shampoo and bar soap will strip your facial hair and the skin beneath your beard of its natural oils which are important for your skins and beards health.

The natural oils in our facial hair and skin are needed because they supply good moisture and nutrients to your facial hairs, keeping them hydrated and healthy.

Also, as I have mentioned already, the skin beneath your beard is very fragile compared to the skin on your scalp.

Head hair shampoos contain chemicals which will cause dry skin under your beard, which will lead to dryness problems which often leads to white flaky skin known as dandruff.

The chemicals in head hair shampoos also cause many bearded men's facial hair to become dry, dull and even brittle over-time. These are three things you should never want your beard to become, which is why we recommend you don't use these products on your beard.

Do you want to live with a dry beard? It really isn't pleasant!

What If I Have Dandruff, Beard Itch Or Acne?

If you find yourself using either head hair shampoo or bar soap to wash your beard, then chances are it could in fact be the reason for your beard irritation.

We recommend that you switch the product you are currently using to wash your beard with a natural beard wash.

A beard wash can help reduce these issues by soothing the skin and increasing the moisture levels in your beard.

Also, it is worth checking the ingredient labels your other beard care products, like your beard oil and beard balm.

If your other beard care products contain synthetic ingredients then that could be what is causing these issues in the first place.

Beard Dandruff: Bearded men with longer beards are more likely to develop beard dandruff.

Lifestyle elements such as the weather are largely responsible for causing this beard irritation.

If you live in a climate that is cold, hot, humid or dry, then you are more prone to beard dandruff. It is recommended that you exfoliate the skin beneath your beard once or twice a week depending how bad the issue is.

You will also need to follow a good skincare routine and making yourself an appointment with a dermatologist wouldn't be a bad thing.

Beard Itch: If your beard is 4 weeks old or less, then chances are this itch is just part of the growing process.

Therefore the itch will reduce naturally over the next couple of weeks. If your beard is older than 8 weeks, then you are most likely suffering from a hygiene or skin care issue.

Issues can stem from a lack of moisture, to a dirty beard. Beard wash and beard oil are perfect beard care products that can help reduce the itch and remove the issue.

If the itch persists after a few weeks of using these products, then you should book an appointment with your dermatologist.

Ance: Acne is usually caused by bacteria that has been aloud to buildup on your skin beneath your beard.

It can also be caused by a buildup of dead skin cells that have been trapped in your pores.

Exfoliating once a week and using a beard wash can help remove the dead skin cells and the bacteria from the skin beneath your beard.

White Flakes: This one is usually confused with beard dandruff, but essentially it is caused by dry skin beneath your beard.

It is easy to fix, simply use a beard wash to remove these excess white flakes from your skin and beard, then apply a natural beard oil on the skin under your beard, this will hydrate the skin and reduce the dryness.
